Watercolor and Gouache

Watercolor is one of my favorite mediums to work with. I always find myself coming back to it after playing with other mediums.

Pencil

Pencil will always be my first love. I tend to do my best detailed work with this medium. Animals have always been a big inspiration for me

Acrylic

Acrylic painting has always been a gentle medium for me. My big-scale projects tend to be acrylic since it is easy to cover large areas.

Ink

In some ways a lot of my artwork has ink in it as I often enjoy the illustrated look of a black outline. I’ve played with ink and markers a few times and have enjoyed the blending capabilities of high-quality alcohol markers.

Digital Artwork and Stickers

Digital artwork is a new frontier for me. I still find myself slightly resistant to being beholden to a screen while doing artwork. I’m warming up to it though! I’ve really enjoyed making stickers and coloring pages and hope to find new projects to try.

Inktober

Inktober is an annual challenge enjoyed by the online art community. The official prompts come from @inktober but you can find prompt lists from other artists too. For an extra twist, try to combine two lists into one drawing! That’s what I did October 2022!

Sketchbook

Sketchbooks are always great places to try out new techniques and practice skills. Sometimes sketchbook art is great, sometimes it is not so great. But that’s the beauty of of a sketchbook. It’s like a diary. Some even call theirs an art journal. It’s a place to be messy and wild and discover what you like. Sketchbooks are a no-judgement zone, so don’t judge mine! I’ll try to be brave enough to share both the good and the bad.
