Introducing Samantha Jane
Creativity has been like a shadow in my life, where there is light it can be found. Since I was old enough to hold a pencil I’ve loved drawing. My life has been rich with experiences that have changed and evolved my artistic process over time. I’m not rich; I’m not famous. Just here to share what I know and what I’m learning. But who really is Samantha Jane?
Small Town Girl
I grew up in a small town that no one has ever heard of, and a city that sometimes gets mentioned on TV as an obligatory midwest town. It’s not a bad place to be from in some ways. I think being from a small town allows me to look at the world with wonder and amazement. Somehow I’ve been lucky to have been exposed to culture. It’s help me be curious about the world around me and inspires me daily.
Experience
Art school was always a dream but I could never make it a reality. Instead I’ve taken a non-major drawing class, some workshops, and I’ve watched a lot of YouTube videos. Art nights with friends have also help me pick up on a few tips and tricks that they use. My education comes from experiments and experience. “Street smarts” the cool kids call it.
